Hobbies
Photography -I’ll be sharing my photography in the meditation programs as I create videos and meditations for you
Reading - is reading really a hobby? For me it is more like drinking water, a must to sustain life
Sketching with colored pencils - I amaze myself when I sketch because it is not a ‘natural’ gift. I often doing it while on retreat
Piano - I deeply love the sounds of a piano. I want to play more often
Knitting - this is something I want to establish as a ‘slow practice’ in my life. I have the yarn, I have the needles, I just have to do it
Sewing - same as knitting. I have the sewing machine. I sense that I will enjoy it as a creative expression. And it will be a good play to direct my Type A personality as I will want to finish the project. I will want to ‘accomplish’ the project, which is so Pitta
Cooking - I find it enjoyable, satisfying, and natural. I can make a meal out of anything, even nothing, My grandmother was the same
Movement / Exercise
Walking -a great way to get around, undervalued in western society primarily because it isn’t fast enough.
Hiking - being in nature is healing. I want to schedule some meditation and hiking events within the BHWB community. Would that interest you?
Biking - Type A all the way, sometimes riding 10, 12, 16, even 20 miles at a time. My docs are not thrilled, but again, the Type A in me comes out.
Swimming -cooling for my Pitta nature
Pilates -protects my spine
