It's All Complicated, Isn't It?

It's all complicated, isn't it?
After picking up "something" which resulted in tightening up my quarantine (in other words, I didn't GO ANY WHERE for a little while) to make sure that what ever I had picked up couldn't be shared with any one else, I learned from the health professionals that their job is incredibly hard right now.
Really tough for health care professionals to triage some one who is reporting symptoms that could be THIS or THAT or possibly, THAT. These days here in SoCalifornia there is still a latent strain of a flu finding its way to certain parts of the population; there is of course, the Covid19 threat with its range of highly unpredictable symptoms, and THEN we are also in allergy season, which symptoms can parallel either the flu or the virus.
Right now it is the respiratory system which is a first line of vulnerability. And it is important to protect your lungs, your sinus airways, your nose itself, and even your mouth as part of your healthy routine.
A few tips for your upper respiratory system part of your body and your overall health care:
* Using a mild saline solution (DO NOT USE COOKING SALT OR ANY SALT WHICH IS IODIZED) with a good quality salt safely rinse your nose several times a week. For some people once a week is just fine. For others a couple of times of week is what is needed.
* Use a good quality nasal oil following the saline rinse to protect the lining of your nose
* Use a good humidifier in your bedroom while you sleep
* Use a tongue scraper 3-4 times a week
* Pay attention to foods that elevate the phlegm in your upper respiratory tract
*Stay hydrated
* Drink plenty of non-caffinated tea. Find a tea that you like and make it the way you like it. Experiment with mint, how hot brings out the best flavor, and even try it cold with ice during the hot days. Only use HONEY as your sweetener
* Honey is a natural antibiotic and your body responds to its essential molecular basis. BUT you must invest is a high quality product. Most of the brand names are mass produced and have minimal efficacy. A honey that has the full antibiotic potential comes with a UMF rating. Look, you'll pay some serious money for high quality honey, but it is worth it.
* Don't suppress a cough when your body is telling you there is some thing to be released. The cough is your body trying to expel some thing. Go ahead and cough sufficiently so as to loosen the 'stickiness' of what ever is interfering with proper breathing
* Do all possible to limit the dust in your home. I know that can be hard in SoCal, but use damp cloths on a regular basis to capture the build up of dust. (Don't use a cloth that is not damp, ever) And never move items, rugs, hastily or in a manner that scatters the dust + pollen in your home. Remember, you're trying to REDUCE the dust in your home
* Change your vacuum cleaner bag often. Or if you vacuum cleaner does not use a bag, rinse out the catch-container often and in all cases, be sure to change the filters frequently as they become places where the air flow can lead to additional pollutants in your home at a time when you think you are removing respiratory offenders from your home
*If you are not getting cardiovascular exercise due to the Covid19 'stay at home' protections, practice breathing exercises to maintain health and fitness of your lungs

->Send me a message to schedule your own consult to assess your needs. I have trained with several doctors and became certified in Ayurvedic medicine & healing 6 years ago. Since then, I've been supporting people in their health & wellbeing and I luv it because it is life-giving. Now is the time for you to do all possible to protect your health.
->My clientele has spanned from groups of patients in a Clinical setting to a private appointments with a hospital administrator who wanted more than her doctors were providing her. So I drove to her offices on the 7th floor at 6:30am for 5 weeks to evaluate her needs, educate, and support her in making the changes that would give her the results she wanted. It was a highly collaborative process. She wanted to improve her immune system and overall health. We laughed many times that there I was, above the hospital, helping her combat all the stress of her job and yet, the help she needed wasn't found right there where she worked!! Ironic but true. ... any way, send me a message to schedule your consult and together we'll take a look at what your needs are.
