Life today is filled with harsh noises and images. It is important to your vitality that you begin a practice of soothing images and sounds as part of your practice.

I highly recommend that you intentionally subject your senses to soothing smells, images, and sounds each night before you retire for sleep. This practice will make a big difference in your sleep patterns. 

But you can also introduce the practice of "soothing your senses" as part of your meditation.  Remember, your senses are an elemental part of how you experience yourself, your life, and the world around you.
